On August 7th, 2020, my friends Shane Wilcox and Joel Jacobs (from Junction Beats School of Music) performed a two-hour street concert downtown London, Canada. Supported by the local London Arts Council, these two musicians have each invested considerable time and effort into their continued musical evolution - and it shows. After all, improvised jamming with just one other person in front of so many strangers is no easy feat - but these two sure do make it look effortless. With Joel contributing his funky drum and bass beats & perfectly-executed drum rolls, and Shane adding his uniquely-trippy, spacey and melodic keyboards to the mix, these two had me and everyone else within earshot dancing like we were attending the coolest street-wide music festival of the year!

I would like to thank Kim (Shane’s other half) for filming me (her footage is at the very end of this video) as I was having a blast filming them, and I would like to thank the musicians for bringing it on that hot day.
Until next time, friends! This is Marina, reporting from the wild😎 .
